Property maintenance services to extend the life of your building
HOA Maintenance Services is an established company that provides janitorial, maintenance and repair services for managed properties in the Portland metropolitan area. We are currently in search of General Handyman Repair Technicians with experience in general building maintenance and making routine repairs.
We utilize an unconventional approach to team management that empowers our Technicians to be leaders in our organization. The General Handyman Repair Technician primarily responds to work orders for on-demand repairs, which requires flexibility, a broad knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques, handyman skills, and experience with typical protocols for routine and emergency repairs for multi-family and commercial properties.
Experience with lighting and electrical, as well as other handyman skills, is greatly desired!
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires general maintenance knowledge in a variety of applications. A General Handyman Repair Tech works both independently and as a member of a team, at times outdoors in varying weather conditions and with a diverse set of assignments. Our Technicians perform duties such as property lighting checks, small drywall repairs, spot welding, concrete repair, painting, and other general repair tasks for multi-family residences and retail properties. A General Handyman Repair Technician will be able capable of running and managing an estimated job and solving new problems as they arise in the field. Techs communicate status updates to project managers and document job execution.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must speak, understand and write English
- Must be able to perform duties that require climbing a ladder to heights, such as gutter and downspout cleaning
- Must have a valid driver license and an insurable driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have a positive work history and references
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must work well as a team member
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient with smartphones, smartphone applications and email
- Able to operate a motor vehicle
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Reliability
- Excellent attendance record
